Dear friends - שלום חברים !

I’m sending you a heartfelt Shana Tovah - שנה טובה from Jerusalem, on behalf of Kehilat HaDror.


We enter the year 5787 with hope, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose.


Even as we share blessings for the year ahead, we know that blessing and grief now sit side by side in Jewish life. Since Simchat Torah 5784 (10/7/2023), the High Holidays and especially Simchat Torah will never feel the same for us in Israel or for you, our brothers and sisters in the diaspora. We carry sadness and trauma that will not simply disappear. We also know that many of you have carried this pain while facing an unsettling rise in antisemitism in your own communities.

We remain strong and hopeful. We hold on to one another, draw strength from community, and keep choosing life, together.

May we find together the strength to stand against hatred in all its forms, and may we deepen our commitment to each other and Tikkun Olam.

And this year, more than ever, we need you with us. The ongoing situation and its consequences continue to challenge our community and the people around us. At a time when so much feels uncertain, Kehilat HaDror remains a place of connection, compassion, Jewish life, and hope.
We invite you to stand with us and help us continue this work in the year ahead. Your support helps us be there for one another, strengthen Jewish life in Jerusalem, and keep building a community that chooses hope, connection, and life.
 
We are deeply grateful for your friendship, your trust, and the many ways you continue to be part of our lives.
 

May this be the year we meet face to face, here in Jerusalem, or wherever our paths may cross.
