As we approach the arrival of summer,we have immense pleasure to share with you some of the most memorable highlights and exciting news that have made this period truly special.
The 86th meeting of the Board of Governors brought together visionary leaders, esteemed scholars, dedicated staff, and passionate supporters like you, all united by a common goal – to advance knowledge, foster innovation, and create a positive impact in our society.
Together we witnessed captivating discussions, groundbreaking research presentations, and inspiring testimonials from our students and alumni. It was an invaluable opportunity to showcase the incredible achievements and advancements that have been made possible through the collective efforts of the Hebrew University community.
On behalf of the entire Hebrew University family, we extend our warmest wishes for a fantastic summer but rest assured, we will reconvene in September, revitalized and ready to embark on another  academic year.

Groundbreaking the Einstein House in the Marie and Jose Mugrabi Building
During the BOG , The President of Israel, the President of the Hebrew University, the Mayor of Jerusalem, and art collector Jose Mugrabi laid the cornerstone of a house to display Einstein’s legacy. The distinctive building, designed by the world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, will highlight the impact of Einstein's discoveries, his involvement in humanitarian and civil rights issues, as well as his deep commitment to Hebrew University, the State of Israel, and the global Jewish community.

With an impressive academic background in Pharmacy and Medicine, Dr. Haitham Amal's research focuses on autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer's disease, and other brain disorders. He has published numerous papers and received prestigious awards and grants, including the Krill Prize and recognition as one of the 40 most promising young people. Dr. Amal leads a group of scientists at the Institute for Drug Research, collaborating with institutions like MIT, Scripps Institute, and Imperial College London
