Meet our Speakers
 
Joseph Gitler, Founder and Chairman, Leket Israel 
Joseph is a graduate of Yeshiva University and Fordham University Law School. After making aliyah in 2000, he worked for three years as Director of International Sales & Development for a family software business. He founded Leket Israel in 2003 after witnessing significant food wastage in Israel at a time of rising poverty. Joseph’s vision and steady hand have led the organization from a simple, one-man operation to Israel’s largest food rescue organization. Joseph is also a member of the Committed To Give initiative for promoting Israeli philanthropy. He is married to Leelah, has five children and enjoys biking, traveling and spending time with his kids.
 
Chaya Lev, Founder of the Chaya Dance Movement
Chaya will speak to us about her path to Judaism, tinder, acceptance and much more. Chaya Lev is from Pasadena California and Dallas Texas, where fourteen years ago, the journey that would bring her to Israel began when she converted to Judaism. Five years ago she made aliyah and founded the Chaya Dance Movement or CDM, a healing experience using music to spark good vibes and energy.
She will talk to us about her journey, tinder, her fun learning and accepting the culture and challenges as an almost 48 year old woman who made Aliyah alone. She may even get you up to take a joyful body stretch.

 
Thomas Lowe, Chartered Accountant Director, Internal Audit
Thomas grew up in Namibia. After school he studied Accounting at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Thomas joined AIG’s global internal audit department in London in 2003, reviewing AIG’s subsidiaries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. In 2010 he moved into European finance as a cluster controller and SAP deployment lead, before returning to internal audit in 2013 as the head of audit for AIG Israel, in addition to various global audit responsibilities. Thomas spends his free time either outdoors, reading and DIY. He lives in Tel Mond with his wife, daughter, and two dogs.
