Kerala tourism participated in IMTM 2022 The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, Government of Kerala visited Tel Aviv from the 28th to 31st of March to participate in the Annual International Mediterranean Tourism Market. The event was attended by Israeli President Yitzhak Hertzog and had over 26800 visitors from 56 different countries. The Kerala Tourism pavilion was inaugurated by Amb. Sanjeev Singla.

India achieves $400 billion goods export target ahead of schedule
India has achieved its goods export target of 400$ billion, nine days ahead of schedule. The key export sectors, which contributed to record healthy growth include petroleum products, electronic goods, engineering goods, leather, coffee, plastic, ready-made garments of all textiles, meat and dairy products, marine products, and tobacco. For the current financial year, India had set a 650$ billion export target. Out of 650$ billion, the target for services exports was 250$ billion.

PLI scheme enables India’s penetration into Global Value Chains
In the second year of the production linked incentives scheme, Apple's contract manufacturers are expected to make iPhones worth over USD 6 billion in India. Expected production for FY23 is also more than twice the requirement for the iPhone makers together to qualify for incentives for the second year under the PLI scheme for smartphones.

Indian electric scooter maker backs Israeli developer of fast-charging battery
On March 21, Ola Electric (India), invested in an Israeli battery technology company StoreDot, a pioneer in batteries with extremely fast charging technology. Ola Electric has been selected under India’s USD 23.8 million production-linked incentive scheme for advanced chemistry cell battery storage.

AI leading India through pandemic
India achieved success in integrating non-medical interventions like Artificial Intelligence (AI), a core technology in the fourth industrial revolution, into its pandemic response system including diagnosis, clinical decision making, therapeutics, surveillance, etc. The use of AI in India increased to 70 percent in 2020, with 73 percent of healthcare and pharma companies adopting the technology during the pandemic (according to ORF). In the Union Budget 2022-23, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was allocated INR 200 crores for developing the National Digital Health Mission and enabling access and efficiency in the delivery of healthcare services to all.

India's rising exports in the textiles sector
India's annual textiles exports are expected to rise to $ 100 Bn in the next five years from the current $ 40 Bn. This will be a testimonial to the growing partnership between government and exporters for propelling India’s growth story. Ministry of Textiles has adopted a holistic development model supported by infrastructure and cluster development, a national technical textile mission, performance-linked incentives, and a zero-rated tax policy on exports to restore India’s pride in the global textile market.

India International Garment Fair (IIGF) 20-22 June 2022
67th India International Garment Fair has been announced and is scheduled to be held during 20-21-22 June 2022 at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, India.
Importers from all across the world are invited to participate in this event. The quality exporters from India are expected to participate in the fair to showcase their latest collections to the world for the Spring/Summer 2023 season.

India International Silk Fair 28-30 July 2022
The Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC), an apex Government body of the exporters of Indian silk & silk blend products from all over India, is organizing the 11th India International Silk Fair from 28th - 30th July 2022. The physical trade fair on Indian Silk & Silk Blend products is an encouraging Step to bring the buyers and their potential suppliers once again face to face under one roof. The ISEPC shall be subsidizing/providing travel grants by economy class fair (subject to the limit prescribed by the Committee as per the MAI Guidelines).

Global FinTech Fest (GFF2022) 19-22 September 2022
The 3rd edition of the ‘Global FinTech Fest’ (GFF2022), is expected to become one of the largest FinTech events across the globe. The Global FinTech Fest will be a hybrid event held in India’s foremost venue, Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai from 19-22 September 2022.
