Fuckup Nights is about sharing failure in order to understand it, embrace it, learn from it and ultimately celebrate the resiliency of the people who have failed and lived to tell the tale.
Meet our speakers:
Yehuda Shaffer is today an independent international consultant after retiring in 2018 from 30 years of service in the Israeli Government. Shaffer was the head of the Financial Intelligence Unit and Israel’s Money Laundering Prohibition Authority and served as the Deputy State Attorney (financial crime). As a lawyer, he consults financial institutions, lawyers, trustees, and other intermediators on risk assessment and management as well as assists governments with national risk assessments and ways of enhancing effectiveness of FIU, investigation and prosecution. Yehuda a graduate of Harvard and Hebrew Universities, is skilled in litigation, public speaking, negotiation, policy and legal analysis.
Saul Orbach is a highly accomplished Venture Capitalist, Serial Entrepreneur, C-Suite Officer and Business Executive, Social Impact investor, Consultant, Lecturer, Thought Leader, Board Member, and Advisor, with 33 years of extensive experience building and exiting startup and growth companies, as well as turning around failing companies. Saul is the founder of the Elul Fund, a venture fund that invests in global market opportunities. He shares his industry experience and knowledge as a Senior Adjunct Lecturer in the MBA programs of Hebrew University, the Technion, and Tel Aviv University. He is a popular speaker and guest lecturer at conferences, universities and other events, as well as a sought after high level advisor.
Tzvika Baida is Shufersal's CEO of E-Commerce, VP of Customers and Services and a member of the Executive Team. He can be defined as the right-hand man of Shufersal CEO Itzik Aberkhan. Prior to his current position, for four years, Baida served as a lawyer by education, as Aberkhan's assistant and before that he served as a researcher at the Securities Authority. Tzvika holds a bachelor's degree in law and business administration (finance) from the Interdisciplinary Center with honors, as well as a master's degree in commercial law from Tel Aviv University and the University of California, Berkeley, with honors.
