Where Shopping Changes Lives ESRA’s community shops are more than just a place for great bargains. Every item – from fashion and accessories to housewares, vinyl records, and vintage finds – is donated, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of volunteers aged 16 to 90 creates an inclusive shopping experience. And the impact? Proceeds fund ESRA’s community projects, closing educational and socio-economic gaps across Israel through after-school programs, mentoring, and youth empowerment initiatives. When you shop at ESRA, you’re not just buying – you’re changing lives. Hagim SALE – 30% off all products, 14–21.9.25 @Picki by ESRA - Secondhand & Vintage https://lnkd.in/d9fugWUT

  • A New Chapter for English in Israel As Israel’s school year begins, English speakers are stepping in to change lives. For thousands of students, English is the key to academic success, higher education, and future careers. Without it, doors close. With it, confidence and opportunity grow. The ESRA English Tutoring Program, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, is matching volunteers with students nationwide and the impact is extraordinary. You don’t need to be a teacher to make a difference. With ESRA’s pedagogical support, you’ll know exactly what to do. Just one hour a week of conversation and encouragement can transform how a student sees themselves and their future. Training workshops for new and existing tutors are now open - don’t miss this chance to be part of something bigger. Register for Tuesday, 16 September: Training Workshops and Networking in Herzliya to gain Practical Tools and Tips – for online and in-person volunteers. Use your gift of English to shape tomorrow. • Recognition of Impact: ESRA Awarded the Midot Seal We’re delighted to share that ESRA has been awarded the Midot Seal of Effectiveness after completing a thoughtful process of measurement and evaluation. Midot is a highly respected Israeli non-profit that helps organizations do good—better. The seal recognizes our commitment to achieving results, continuous improvement, and social impact. Midot’s thorough review included our planning, performance, learning and evaluation, processes, leadership, finances, ethics and transparency, supervision, and overall social impact. For us, this recognition isn’t about titles or certificates - it’s about our ongoing commitment to learning, improving our services, and staying relevant. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, small staff, partners, members, and donors, we continue to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. In challenging times, pausing to measure and reflect on our work is essential. Guided by humility, accountability, and a spirit of continuous growth, we strive to provide the most value to our community. This recognition belongs to all of us - because only together can we continue building an ESRA that serves with strength, care, and purpose. See Certificate here: https://lnkd.in/dd-ZhBTw
