  • ESRA's English Tutoring Program is looking for a flexible volunteer to assist with admin support. You’ll be supporting the program coordinator - helping keep our teacher-student matching system organized and running smoothly. The good news? No advanced skills needed — just basic Excel (no formulas required), attention to detail, and about 2–3 flexible hours a week, all online and on your own schedule. The great news? You’ll be part of a project that helps hundreds of students across Israel improve their English and build confidence. Email: teacher-chat@esra.org.il to apply!

  • A Summer That Matters: ESRA Students Lead Activities for Children in Need Not every family can afford vacations or summer camps, but that doesn’t mean children should go without joy, connection, or enrichment during their summer break. That’s why, as part of their end-of-year mentoring initiative, university students from ESRA’s Students Build Communities (SBC) project stepped up. They organised and led outdoor activities for children in underserved neighbourhoods. From nature outings and games to team-building and creative play, these experiences offered more than fun; they gave children a safe space to connect, grow, and build confidence in a warm, supportive environment. What is Students Build Communities? ESRA SBC is one of ESRA’s flagship, life-changing projects. It provides living stipends to students who give back by mentoring local children personally, academically, and socially, while leading initiatives that strengthen the community. These summer activities, made possible thanks to donor support, are a clear example of how giving back creates lasting impact. Because of you, a summer of “nothing to do” or “being on the streets” became a season of growth, joy, and real change. 👉 Donate today - and make this summer count https://lnkd.in/eR_C3Pkz The Israeli Ministry of Education משרד החינוך

  • ESRA Presents at the National Conference for Aliyah Community Organizations. Recognized. Appreciated. Representing You. Out of over 200 nonprofits supporting new olim in Israel, only four were chosen to present at the National “Aliyah Community of Organizations” Conference and ESRA was proudly one of them. Hosted by the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration משרד העלייה והקליטה, the conference brought together Israel’s leading organizations, all working toward one powerful goal: Turning immigration into integration. When ESRA CEO Sunny Marshansky took the stage, she shared why the ESRA model is so special and the audience responded with great interest and heartwarming applause. Throughout the day, we engaged in open dialogue with Ministry officials and peer organizations, amplifying the voices of our communities, exchanging insights, and identifying new ways to work together for better outcomes. The message was clear: ESRA matters. Our community matters. 👉 To help new olim - Get involved with ESRA today https://lnkd.in/exbTX5x3

  • Cooking for a Cause: ESRA Students Supporting Families on the Home Front When war disrupts daily life, our community steps in. As part of the Jerusalem Municipality’s emergency response during wartime, ESRA’s Students Build a Community (SBC) students in Nachlaot stepped in to help. They cooked together and delivered hot meals and real relief to families where a parent has been called up for extended reserve duty. “I wasn’t expecting this… It’s very touching. Thank you so much - it means a lot that you’re doing this.” Reservist’s family member The activity continues, and more families will be supported in the coming weeks. It’s about more than food - it’s about showing up, showing we care. If this is something you would like to support, contact Sandra at herzliyaoffice@esra.org.il. • What if your story could help someone else write theirs? At ESRA, it has already, again and again. Through our Students Build a Community mentoring program, we pair university students, many of them olim from Ethiopia, Ukraine, Russia, France, and English-speaking countries, with leading professionals like you: lawyers, educators, CEOs, creatives, and changemakers. These aren’t typical 3 - 6 mentoring sessions. They’re powerful, personal conversations, online or in person, that open doors, expand horizons, and help young adults find their place in Israel. Mentors help students strengthen their confidence and sense of capability simply by showing up, sharing their story, and leading by example. Each match is tailored to the student’s unique needs, whether personal, academic, or professional. “Thanks to my mentor, I didn’t just fix my CV. It was a real conversation with someone who believes in me. I found clarity about who I want to become.” Ariel, Law student, ESRA SBC Jerusalem. “The short break in my day and the interaction with Ariel,  a brilliant law student, gave me a fresh perspective and reminded me why I became a lawyer in the first place.” Dr. Guy Carmi, Mentor Our students face big questions: * How do I build a future in a country I’m still learning to call home? * Where do I even begin? * I don’t know anyone - who would hire me? You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to be present. Why it works: Students gain clarity, confidence, and real-world tools. Mentors make a meaningful difference in just a few hours and often reconnect with their sense of purpose. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive Israeli society. What started as a pilot is now growing into a national movement. You’ve built something meaningful - a career, a business, a life. Now help someone else rise. Mentor a young oleh, and be the reason they stay, grow, and thrive in Israel. Contact Sandra herzliyaoffice@esra.org.il To all our mentors and supporters, thank you for turning guidance into growth!
