A. Embassy Events:
Visit of NCSC at Cyber Week 2019
Lt General (Retd.) (Dr.) Rajesh Pant, National Cyber Security Coordinator (NCSC) of India visited Israel for the Cyber Week from 23-27 June. NCSC participated in a Working Group meeting between Tel Aviv University, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)  and Ananta Aspen Centre followed by an interactive discussion on "India-Israel Business Boom: Opportunities and Challenges for Cyber". Ambassador Pavan Kapoor made the opening remarks and NCSC also delivered his remarks in the discussion.
The other engagements of NCSC  were visit to the HQ of CERT-Israel and PwC's Cybersecurity Impact Centre in Be'er Sheva;  bilateral meeting with Mr. Yigal Unna, Director General, Israeli National Cyber Directorate; participation in the various sessions of the Cyber Week including the inaugural session, Global Cyber Cabinet & the session of Prime Minister Netanyahu; visit to the Israeli Aerospace Industries/Elta and meeting with Israel Electric Corporation’s Chairman Mr. Yiftach Ron Tal.
In addition to the visit of NCSC, a Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)  delegation, with over 30 leading participants from the Indian industry also attended the Cyber Week. 23-27 June

International Day of Yoga 2019 in Tel Aviv
The Embassy of India in Israel celebrated the 5th International Day of Yoga at the iconic HaTachana in Tel Aviv on 20 June 2019 in collaboration with the Tel Aviv Municipality and the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sports. Ms Michal Yanai, renowned Israeli actress lit the ceremonial lamp along with Ambassador Pavan Kapoor and Mr. Lior Shapira, Chairman of the Tel Aviv City Council & Head of Sports and Healthy Lifestyle. Ms. Keren Porat Snapir, ICCR alumnus sang a mantra which was followed by the Common Yoga Protocol led by Ms. Maya Gross. The programme included Acro yoga, Sun salutations and live music by Sky Roots band which played traditional Indian instruments. The winner of an air fare ticket to Goa by Carmel Tourism was announced during the event. A large number of yoga enthusiasts participated in the event. 20 June
Meeting at the Israel Space Agency
DCM Tshering W Sherpa met with Mr. Avi Blasberger, DG Israel Space Agency (ISA) for a follow-up on the ongoing projects between ISRO and ISA under India-Israel bilateral collaboration in Space and to discuss future possibilities. 19 June
 
Mass Challenge Israel
Ambassador Pavan Kapoor participated at the reception of the 2019 MassChallenge Startup Showcase and deleivered the opening remarks. He was introduced to the Indian companies that are accelerating with MassChallenge Israel this year. The event saw the attendance of representatives of major Israeli and multinational companies, as well as VC’s and law firms. Later, the Indian participants also visited the Embassy and interacted with DCM Tshering W Sherpa. 17 June
 
Jharkhand Delegation visit to Israel
A delegation from the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) led by its president Mr. Deepak Kumar Maroo, visited Israel from June 11-16. The delegation met with First Secretary Mr. Pramod Kumar Sharma and the Commercial Wing team at the Embassy. The group visited Israel for a five days exposure tour on the MSME and Agriculture sector. SICCI delegation to Israel
A delegation from The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) led by its President Mr. Ramachandran Ganapathi visited Israel from 3-6 June, 2019. The delegation met with Israeli Chambers of Commerce, Industry officials and a numbers of Israeli companies. The delegation also interacted with government officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and signed MoUs with The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and with The Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce. The Embassy also faciliatetd site visits and B2B meetings for the delegation. 3-6 June
 
150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Naan Dan Jain Irrigation
 
Ambassador Pavan Kapoor joined others, including children from Kibbutz Naan, in planting trees at an event organised by the Embassy of India and Naan Dan Jain Irrigation at Kibbutz Naan to mark the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and his vision for sustainable development and environment protection on the occasion of World Environment Day. He also dedicated the India-Israel Friendship Grove and unveiled on that location a permanent stone plaque of the Mahatma with a quotation of Gandhiji. Ambassador stressed the importance of the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi on sustainable development and environmental protection.
The event was attended by Indian Embassy officials, Naan Dan Jain Irrigation personnel, members of the Kibbutz, including kindergarten children and members of the Indian community in Israel. 5 June
Indian Pavilion at ISDEF 2019
The India Pavilion at ISDEF-2019 (4-6 June) was inaugurated by Ambassador Pavan Kapoor at Tel Aviv Convention Center. ISDEF Expo is the largest International Defence and Homeland Security event in Israel. The event was attended by an official delegation from the Dept of Defence Production, MoD with participation by 17 Indian public and private sector companies. Mr. Paul Friedberg, Principal Deputy Director and other representatives of Israel MoD - SIBAT were also present. 4 June
Israel startup Applicaster inks first of its kind business partnership in India to revamp Zee5 app
Homegrown OTT platform Zee5 entered into a partnership with Israel tech startup Applicaster in what is a first of its kind collaboration between Indian and Israeli companies. Zee5 is a part of the Rs 32,900-crore Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd, and is available in 190 countries. Applicaster is a leading cloud platform for media and TV app development having built enhanced applications for top global media brands including DirectTV and Televisa. The Embassy facilitated the signing of the MoUs. 4 June
 
India Israel Defence Partnership-Opportunities for Global Markets seminar
DCM Tshering W Sherpa delivered the opening remarks on the topic 'India Israel Defence Partnership-Opportunities for Global Markets' at a seminar organized by the Israeli Defence Ministry's SIBAT (International Cooperation Division) & visiting Indian delegation led by senior officials from the Ministry of Defence , India and also comprising members from Society for Indian Defence Manufacturers. 3 June

Innovate To INSPIRE 2019 Challenge is open for Israeli companies
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) launched #InnovateToINSPIREchallenge, a first-of-its-kind energy innovation challenge in 2018 through which EESL invites entrepreneurs, innovators and the start-up community to come together and provide viable solutions to help achieve India’s energy security and sustainability ambitions.
This year, the second edition of the innovation challenge, #InnovateToINSPIRE 2019, invites participants to submit sustainable and scalable solutions on the following themes:
Improved Grid Management System, Energy Efficient Technologies, Clean Energy Electric Mobility,  and Financial Instruments.
