Joint Business Delegation from India and UAE to Israel
A 50-member business delegation from India and UAE visited Israel from 12-14 September 2022. This was the first such joint business delegation from both countries visiting Israel and was led by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), one of the leading business chambers in India. The delegation included representatives of Indian companies based in the UAE. The companies represented interests in various sectors focusing on opportunities in health tech, agri & food tech, energy, infrastructure, cyber tech and automation, fintech etc in Israel. During their visit, they had B2B meetings, interaction at The Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) and visited Tel Aviv University and select Israeli companies in select areas of interest, apart from interaction with business chambers such as the Israel Asia Chamber of Commerce. On September 12, Ambassador H.E. Sanjeev Singla and the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Israel H.E. Mohamed Al Khaja interacted with a joint business delegation from India and UAE and emphasized the enormous potential and opportunities for businesses of India, Israel and UAE in light of their complementarities.

Ambassador met the Head of the Economic Division at MOFA
On October 28, Ambassador Sanjeev Singla met Ms. Yael Ravia-Zadok, Head of the Economic Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel, and discussed various aspects of the bilateral economic partnership with emphasis on cooperation in the field of water.

Israel Aerospace Industries opens subsidiary in India Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has opened a new subsidiary in New Delhi named Aerospace Services India (ASI). IAI’s investment in Aerospace Services India is a part of the company's strong support for the Indian government’s 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'- MAKE IN INDIA policy. The new subsidiary also demonstrates IAI's commitment to its strong partnership with India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in developing and supporting advanced systems for the Indian armed forces. The new facilities will provide advanced and timely support to the Indian Defense Forces, including the Indian Air Force, Navy and Army.

India is set to become 3rd largest economy in the world
The Indian economy has undergone a large structural shift in the last eight years which reveals that India is likely to get the tag of 3rd largest economy in 2029, a movement of 7 places upwards since 2014 when India was ranked 10th, according to aesearch report from the State Bank of India's Economic Research Department. India should surpass Germany in 2027 and most likely Japan by 2029 at the current rate of growth.

India to attract FDI worth $475 billion in 5 years
India’s focus on reforms and economic growth will result in foreign direct investment (FDI) of $475 billion in the next five years as most multinational companies (MNCs) see India as an attractive investment destination for their global expansion, according to a new CII's report.

PM Modi launched 5G services in India
Ushering in a new technological era, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services in India on Oct 1 . Modi urged the leaders of the telecom industry association to visit the schools and colleges of the country and unleash every aspect of this new technology. He also asked them to create an enabling ecosystem for MSMEs to prepare spare parts for electronic manufacturing.
