Visit to Metzerplas
DCM Tshering W. Sherpa visited the Metzerplas unit of Metzer Group, Israel’s drip-irrigation major at Kibbutz Metzer. Metzerplas Chairman Dr. Hugo Chaufan and Mr. Shmuel Schupak, CEO of Metzer group met with the DCM and briefed him about the innovative irrigation solutions offered by the firm and about their operations in India.
With a projected investment of Rs. 130 crores in a decade, its recently inaugurated plant in Hyderabad as a joint venture between Metzer India LLP and India’s Skipper Ltd is expected to serve not only India but also SAARC markets. 3 July 2019
 
Indian Culinary Festival
Indian Culinary Festival featuring Master Chef India Shipra Khanna was launched by Ambassador Pavan Kapoor at the Sheraton Tel Aviv on 8 July. The launch event was compered by famous Israeli actor Dvir Benedek and featured congratulatory remarks by Mr Amir Halevi, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel, Mr Franko Vella, General Manager of Sheraton Tel Aviv. The event saw a large gathering of Ambassadors, officials of the Government of Israel, corporate leaders, celebrities, prominent chefs, culture related persons and media who enjoyed the delicious Indian cuisine prepared by Chef Shipra Khanna and her team. The festival continued at the Sheraton Tel Aviv until 11 July. 8 July 2019
The 1st World Congress on Women's Health Innovations and Inventions
The 1st World Congress on Women's Health Innovations and Inventions (WHII): Addressing Unmet Needs took place in Tel Aviv on July 9-11, 2019. The event witnessed the participation of leading professionals from worldwide including Dr. Hema Divakar, India, Past President FOGSI & DIPSI and Dr. Neerja Bhatla, AIIMS from India.
The objective of the event was to discuss the unmet needs of women’s health with physicians, other healthcare providers, technology experts and companies involved in developing those future technologies. DCM Tshering W Sherpa participated in the event and interacted with the Indian participants. 9 July 2019
NATCON 2019
Ambassador Pavan Kapoor inaugurated the largest Indian business gathering in Israel - NATCON 2019, of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) in Tel Aviv attended by over 1200 participants from India from 6-8 August 2019. The event was attended by the Israeli Minister for Construction and Housing Dr Yifat Shahsha Biton. A recorded message of Prime Minister Netanyahu was also played at the event.   CREDAI along with its knowledge partner CBRE released a report titled ‘India 2030 – Exploring the Future’ which encapsulates the potential of Indian economy by 2030 and its implications on the growth of the real estate sector. 6 August 2019
First ever Cybertech roadshows in India
During 19-22 August, Cybertech Conference, which is the largest Cyber Security conference in Israel, held  three networking events in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai for the first time. Over forty cyber experts ranging from big scale to medium size companies participated in each of the events. The main goal of these events was to create a unique opportunity to network and strengthen ties within the cyber industry in India. The event was held in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Israel, Cyberbit and the Israeli Consulates of Israel in Bangalore and in Mumbai. The main theme of the event was: ‘The next generation of cyber-technologies and the growing global cyber ecosystem’.
Redefining business in Goa Seminar
 
The Embassy in association with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce organized a roadshow on the potential investment opportunities in the state of Goa. The visiting Goan delegation led by MLA Josua DeSouza made a presentation on the business potential in focus sectors and invited the Israeli business community to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Goa Global Expo and Summit 2019 to be held in Goas from 17-19 October 2019. Tech Mahindra signs a contract with Mizrahi Tefahot Bank

Tech Mahindra announced an agreement with Mizrahi Tefahot Bank to convert and implement a new capital market system. The project is valued at millions of dollars and is expected to take about two years. The new system consists of a combination of software solutions and includes the T24 banking software from Temenos, as well as complementary solutions based on Ivory 360 software from Ivory.

Rafael Expands Operations in India
 
Astra Rafael Communication System (ARC), a joint venture between Astra Microwave and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, inaugurated a new facility at the Hardware Technology Park in Hyderabad. The ceremony was attended by India’s Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy and the Ambassador of Israel to India Ron Malka. The JV will invest in high-end technology and advanced production techniques to design, develop, and manufacture BNET tactical communications systems for the Indian Armed Forces. 28 August 2019

Ceramix Expo, 21st to 24th November 2019
 
The third edition of the Ceramix Expo 2019 will be held after the two earlier successful editions in 2016 & 2017. It is expected that visitor foot fall would be over 200,000 from India and over 3000 worldwide representing 100 countries.

Reverse Buyer-Seller- Meet at 5th Edition of CAPINDIA
