Indian students in the fight against Coronavirus in Israel
 
We salute our Indian students in Israel who are assisting Israeli authorities in the fight against Coronavirus by volunteering to collect and test samples in Israel.
Embassy outreach to the student and caregivers community in Israel during COVID 19
The Embassy provided protective masks & gloves to Indian students, caregivers and their family members spread all over Israel.
India and Israel are jointly exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence to diagnose COVID-19
India and Israel are jointly exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence to diagnose COVID-19 spread even as both are looking for cooperation for the development of the vaccines. Speaking to WION, Ambassador Sanjeev Singla stated, "India has supplied Israel with hydroxychloroquine and other medical supplies and the Embassy has been reaching out to stranded students”.
 
Webinar with SBI Tel Aviv and Israel Asia Chamber of Commerce
Ambassador Sanjeev Singla spoke on India’s response to Covid 19, impact on the economy, recent economic reforms by India, and highlighted the economic  sectors of interest to India in the recent economic reforms announced by India, e.g.  labour, agriculture, defence, water, space, health, and cyber security for India and Israel during the webinar organized by SBI Tel Aviv and Israel Asia Chamber of Commerce. India evacuates 115 citizens from Israel as part of 'Vande Bharat Mission'

115 Indian nationals boarded an Air India flight from Ben-Gurion Airport on 26 May, returning home to India after being stranded in Israel for more than two months due to the coronavirus pandemic. The passengers on board the flight included caregivers, students, expectant mothers, as well as five Israeli diplomats and a Nepalese national.

Indian Embassy officials present at the airport handed protective gloves, sanitizer and masks to the passengers. 25 May

DVCs with Israeli and Indian Organizations
The Embassy has been interacting with business chambers and relevant stake-holders on both sides to further enhance economic relations in a post COVID era with Israel. 
The Embassy has had DVCs with CII, NASSCOM, Invest India and PHDCII on the Indian side and also with relevant stake-holders on the Israeli side to explore ways for collaboration at the B2B level. Webinars/B2B digital meetings/DVCs are being held/planned in diverse areas not only in health care area but also in the start-up eco-system/automation/ESDM/interaction with technical innovation units of Israeli universities/ etc.

Ceragon expanding network for India's Bharti Airtel
Ceragon Networks Ltd. announced that it had been selected by Indian telecommunications company Bharti Airtel to provide products and services for additional 4G network expansions beginning first quarter of 2020. Ceragon has stated that Airtel is looking to increase its network capacity to address growing demand for broadband amidst sharp rise in data consumption across India. Airtel is also looking to increase 4G network capacity in urban areas and expand its coverage in rural regions as well as prepare for its future evolution to 5G. The announcement states that Ceragon is working closely with Airtel to pursue rapid deployment of its microwave radios, as best it can, considering India's recent temporary lockdown.  26 April
 
 
Israel Chemicals signs 410 metric ton Indian potash deal
Israel Chemicals announced contract with Indian Potash Limited (IPL), India's largest importer of potash, to supply an aggregate 410,000 metric tons of potash, with mutual options for an additional 30,000 metric tons, to be supplied through December 2020. The contract is part of the five-year supply agreements signed in 2018 between ICL and IPL. 18 May
 
India and Israel join forces to develop rapid testing system to fight Coronavirus
India and Israel have decided to join forces to develop rapid testing systems that can conduct Covid-19 tests at under a minute, in the highest level of R&D cooperation between the two countries. Officials said the process had started and they hoped to be able to come out with a test that would allow people to safely step out and resume normal life.
