NASSCOM Executive Council visited Israel
 
A NASSCOM Executive Council delegation led by its President Ms Debjani Ghosh visited Israel. During the 3 day visit, the delegation comprising of CEOs of top Indian hi-tech companies such as Infosys, WNS Global Services, QuEST Global, Genpact, etc. had extensive engagements with Israeli decision-makers, academia, Israeli CEOs, prominient VCs, Chambers of Commerce, Israel Innovation Authority, etc. 19-21 January 2020.
Meeting with Ministry of Tourism
Amb Sanjeev Singla met Mr Amir Halevi, Director General, Ministry of Tourism and discussed ways to further ehance the immense tourism opportunities on both sides aided by direct air connectivity. 21 January 2020

Indian Participation at IMTM Exhibition
Amb Sanjeev Singla attended the 26th annual International Meditarranean Tourism Market (IMTM)  Exhibition and Confernce and  and visited Incredible India, Kerala Tourism and other booths by Indian tour operators. India holds tremendous fascination for  Israeli travellers & has so much more to offer. Ms Muanpuii Saiawi, Counsellor spoke about the potential for wellness tours in India at a seminar organised during IMTM. Ms Manjiri Kamalapurkar from Tourism Office gave a presentation at TedX event organised by Lametayel on digital tourism campaigns for general public. February 12
Meeting with Israeli companies at the FICC

The commercial wing team led by Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Tshering W. Sherpa, had a fantastic session of meetings at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce with leading Israeli companies from various sectors (food, chemicals, textiles and more) who wish to source their products and materials from Indian manufacturers. After the meeting, the Commercial Wing  matched the Israeli importers with prominent Indian companies to facilitate increase in the trade between the two countries. 27 February 2020

Israel’s digital bank sees start in mid-2021, signs deal with India’s TATA group
Israel’s new digital bank, controlled by entrepreneurs Marius Nacht and Amnon Shashua, is expected to start providing services to customers in mid-2021. It informed regulators that it has finalized a contract with TCS Israel to set up and implement its technological infrastructure. The digital bank informed the Finance Ministry and Bank of Israel that it has signed a deal with TCS, an international IT firm and a member of India’s TATA Group, for the development and implementation of the bank’s technology infrastructure. The digital bank will be using the core infrastructure developed by TCS.
 
 
Rivulis - Inauguration of a new manufacturing facility in Gujarat
Rivulis, an Israeli irrigation company announced the opening up of a new manufacturing facility at Vadodara, Gujarat. According to the company, it will help bring high-quality micro-irrigation solutions to India to improve farm productivity and drive higher yields – Helping growers to grow beyond.
 
Indian oil giant, Israeli start-up to develop metal-air batteries
India’s largest commercial oil company, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., will partner with Lod-based energy start-up Phinergy to develop and produce innovative metal-air batteries, often regarded as the solution for long-distance electric-vehicle travel. Indian Oil said it had bought a minority stake in Phinergy, which specializes in aluminum-air (Al-air) and zinc-air technologies. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries that carry oxygen within a heavy electrode, metal-air systems produce energy by combining aluminum, water and oxygen from the air. 4 February 2020
 
HAL, Israel Aerospace Industries and DTL form strategic collaboration for manufacturing drones
Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Dynamatic Technologies Ltd. (DTL) announced the signing of a MoU for manufacturing and marketing of IAI's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Indian potential customers. The pact was signed on the opening day of DefExpo 2020. The potential customers include defence forces, paramilitary forces and central armed police forces. 5 February 2020

The 3rd edition of Renewable Energy Investors' Meet and Expo (3rd RE-INVEST) 14th to 17th October 2020
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India is pleased to announce that the 3rd edition of Renewable Energy Investors' Meet and Expo (3rd RE-INVEST) will be held from 14th to 17th October 2020 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India, coinciding with the Third Assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA). These two events are likely to be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in a common function at 1700 IST on 14 October 2020.
 
The 3rd RE-INVEST is expected to be attended by over 75 International Ministerial delegations, more than 1000 global industry leaders, and 50,000 delegates.
 
The 3rd RE-INVEST aims at accelerating the worldwide effort to scale up development and deployment of renewable energy and connect the global investment community with Indian energy stakeholders. It will include a 3-day Conference on renewables and future energy choices, and an Exhibition of manufacturers, developers, investors and innovators engaged in the clean energy sector.
