DVC with Invest India
The Commercial Wing team had a DVC with the Invest India middle-east team on June 26. During the DVC, it was discussed on how to promote investments between India and Israel and how to further strengthen the bilateral relations between both countries for next year which would mark the 30th anniversary of its relations. Buyer –Seller Meet organized by Embassy and FIEO
Embassy of India, Tel Aviv and the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) organized the second buyer-seller meet between Israeli and Indian companies focused on textiles. The event included 7 textile companies and provided the initial step towards expanding business relations in one of the most potential sectors. 16 June

Virtual B2B meet with FIEO
Embassy facilitated a virtual B2B meet organized by FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organizations) and FICC (Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce) on 9th June 2021. The sectors included textiles, food, agriculture, and medical devices. Ambassador Shri Sanjeev Singla delivered opening remarks at the inaugural session. 9 June

Castro Israel and Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) of India
On 11th June, 2021, Embassy arranged a DVC between Castro Israel and the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) of India. From AEPC, its Chairman Dr. A Sakthivel, Mr. Sudhir Sekhri, EP Chairman, and Dr. L.B. Singhal, Secretary-General participated in the DVC. It was agreed that the AEPC delegation will visit Israel soon to explore more business opportunities and the AEPC will facilitate the interaction of Castro with the Indian textile industry during the Castro representative’s visit to India.

India's forex reserves cross record $600 billion-mark for first time
The country's foreign exchange reserves crossed the USD 600 billion mark for the first time after increasing by USD 6.842 billion in the week ended June 4. The reserves surged to a record USD 605.008 billion in the reporting week, helped by a rise in foreign currency assets (FCA), a major component of the overall reserves, as per weekly data by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). BMC signs pact with Israel IDE to set up first desalination plant in Mumbai
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Israel's IDE Technologies have signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on 28 June, 2021 to prepare a DPR (detailed project report) for a 200 MLD desalination plant at Manori.

Embassy of India to partner with TAU’s Cyber Week, July 19-22, 2021
Cyber Week is a large annual international cybersecurity event, hosted each year at Tel Aviv University in Israel. Over the last decade, Cyber Week has become internationally acclaimed as one of the top cybersecurity events in the world. Cyber Week offers a unique gathering of cybersecurity experts, industry leaders, startups, investors, academics, diplomats, and government officials and in 2019 hosted over 9,000 attendees from more than 80 countries.
In 2021, Cyber Week will be hosted in a hybrid format, with opportunities for both local and international audiences to get involved however possible. Cyber Week, held jointly by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC), The Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University, the Israeli Naional Cyber Directorate under the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and this year, the Embassy of India is proud to take part in Cyber Week as well as a partner and to invite Indian and Israeli companies to take part in the event.
