Ambassador's visit to MIGAL Galilee Research Institute
On July 12, Ambassador Sanjeev Singla visited MIGAL Galilee Research Institute.
The visit shed light on the importance of the institute as a growth engine for the entire northern district of Israel, In all agricultural, food, health, academic & industrial aspects. During the visit, the Ambassador also interacted with 10 post-doctoral students from India based at the MIGAL Institute.

FICCI ARISE visit to Israel
On August 23, the Embassy hosted a high-level delegation of India's FICCI ARISE school education leaders. The delegation visited Israel to foster the dialogue in education, technology & research between the two countries.

Airtel partners with Israel’s Qwilt to offer content delivery services across India
Qwilt, an Israeli universal delivery platform, has announced that Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel), India’s leading telecommunication services provider, has joined its ecosystem of service providers to improve the quality of live streaming, VoD, and media delivery to its 400 million subscribers across India. The partnership will see Airtel launch its content delivery service called Airtel Cloud’s Edge CDN across the country based on Qwilt’s technology and will also become the largest service provider to deploy Qwilt’s Open Edge Cloud solution.

Xplore Lifestyle to launch CardiacSense
In a far-reaching development for health monitoring particularly for cardiology in the country, Xplore Lifestyle, India's country leading and futuristic MedTech solutions provider in collaboration with the Israeli company CardiacSense has come up with the most advanced cardiac and other vital signs monitoring technology in the form of an easy-to-wear watch. Taking wearable technologies to a new level, CardiacSense is the first medical-grade continuous vitals monitoring device launched globally. The product was launched at Le Méridienin New Delhi at an event attended by Naor Gilon, Ambassador of Israel to India along with Eyal Copitt and Ido Mor from CardiacSense, and Pankaj Balwani from Xplore Lifestyle.

Qualitest acquires India's ZenQ, adds over 600 engineers
Qualitest, an Israeli AI-powered quality engineering company, has announced the acquisition of ZenQ, an Indian-based software testing company. The company confirmed that it will add more than 600 engineers to its team, as well as ZenQ's leadership team. The acquisition extends Qualitest’s geographical footprint in India due to ZenQ’s facility in Hyderabad, but also adds to their NextGen capabilities in Phygital, Analytics, Blockchain, and DevOps.

Terumo India signs distribution partnership with Sensible Medical Innovations
Terumo India, the Indian arm of Terumo Corporation, a global leader in medical technology, announced that it has signed a new strategic partnership with the Israeli Sensible Medical Innovations, the market leader in medical radar monitoring and imaging technology (ReDS™), that grants it exclusive distribution rights for ReDS Pro™ and knowledge-sharing of ReDS™ technology in India. ReDS™ Pro is used to measure the absolute lung fluid volume in patients, which has strong correlation with symptoms of Coronary Heart Failure (CHF).

Gadot and India's Adani wins Haifa Port tender
The consortium led by Gadot Chemical Terminals (1985) Ltd. and including Indian company Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. has won the tender to buy the shares of government-owned Haifa Port Ltd. The consortium will buy the 100% holding for NIS 4.1 billion. This amount is higher than the NIS 3 billion that government ministries had expected from the winning bid. Israel expects that Adani’s entrance on the local scene will now lead to more Indian investment, especially in the fields of renewable energy and defense.

India gets the highest annual FDI inflow of USD 83.57 billion in FY21-22
In the Financial Year 2021-22, India received the largest annual FDI inflow of US$ 83.57 billion. This figure surpassed last year's total by US$ 1.60 billion, despite the military conflict in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic.
FDI equity inflow into manufacturing sectors surged by 76% in FY 2021-22 (US$ 21.34 billion) in comparison to FY 2020-21 (US$ 12.09 billion), while Karnataka is the largest recipient state, accounting for 38% of total FDI equity inflows in FY 2021-22, followed by Maharashtra (26%), and Delhi (14%).

Phinergy and Indian Oil JV to pilot 50-seater e-bus
Hindalco Industries Limited, Aditya Birla Group’s metals flagship has signed an MoU with Phinergy, a leading Israel-based pioneer in metal-air battery technology, and IOC Phinergy Private Limited (IOP) - a joint venture between Phinergy and India's leading energy PSU Indian Oil Corporation. As per the MoU, Phinergy and IOP will partner exclusively with Hindalco in India, on R&D and pilot production of aluminum plates for Aluminium-Air batteries, and recycling of aluminum, after usage in these batteries.
The JV between Indian IOCL and Phinergy will start its maiden pilot soon, by manufacturing 100 small aluminum plates that will power a 50-seater bus for 500km in India.
