MTI Wireless Edge Ltd. developed and manufactured antennas for search and rescue operations for downed pilots. The antennas are located both at the pilot side and on the search and rescue aircraft.
The antennas on the pilot side support the Cospas-Sarsat 406MHz beacon frequency as well as the 121.5MHz international distress frequency.
All antennas in this solution are specifically designed as Omni antennas with relatively high elevation angles in order to provide the best possible RF link between an on ground pilot and a search and rescue aircraft.

MT-2044 – DF element for search and rescue aircraft.
MT-181012, MT-181020 and MT-181025 – Omni antennas for pilot and search and rescue equipment. The antennas are designed for special forces and operate in severe environmental conditions including withstanding immersion in 15 meters of sea water.
