בשבוע הבא יחול חג פסח וכולנו נתכנס סביב שולחן החג ונחגוג יחד. רגע לפני שנצא לערוך את הקניות לארוחת החג ולימי חול המועד כדאי לדעת: ממחקר משותף שערכנו עם חברת BDO עולה כי משקי הבית יוציאו כ 3,400 ₪ על מוצרי מזון לחג ומתוכם כ – 530 ₪ יושלכו לפח הזבל! על אף התייקרות סל המזון בחג פסח הקרוב הישראלים צפויים להוציא 8.7 מיליארד ₪ על מוצרי מזון אולם כ – 2.2 מיליארד ₪ מהם המהווים כ – 25% יושלכו לפח הזבל. אז מה עושים? נמענים מבזבוז מזון באמצעות רכישה נכונה ומושכלת. רוכשים רק מה שצריך. As we prep for Passover next week, let's chat about our shopping habits. Our joint research with BDO reveals that households spend NIS 3,400 on holiday food, but NIS 530 goes to waste. This was an important mission for them with the goal of raising awareness for the victims of terror, the hostages and to provide aid to those who were most impacted by the tragic events on October 7th. Through their Leket Israel fundraising they succeeded in raising over £1,000 for the benefit of Israelis in need through Leket Israel! אנחנו מתרגשים לספר לכם שהבוקר השקנו באופן רשמי את פרויקט "לקט אקספרס" עם השותפים הנפלאים שלנו - קרן Citi. פרויקט "לקט אקספרס", משאית חלוקה המגיעה מידי שבוע לנקודות חלוקה בערים ומציעה תוצרת חקלאית עודפת וטרייה ללא תשלום לרווחת ולבריאות התושבים הנזקקים. שווי מימון הפרויקט הינו 2 מיליון שקלים לשנתיים. הפרויקט מתקיים בשיתוף הרשויות המקומיות: דימונה, ראשון לציון, נתניה ומבשרת ציון ובעתיד יפתחו נקודות נוספות ברחבי הארץ. באירוע ההשקה נכחו: ניל קורני, מנכ"ל סיטיבנק ישראל, ארנסטו טורז , מנהל הפעילות הבינלאומית של סיטיבנק וגידי כרוך מנכ"ל לקט ישראל: "אני מודה מקרב לב לסיטי בנק על שותפות משמעותית וארוכת שנים המטיבה עם אזרחי מדינת ישראל. פרויקט לקט אקספרס הינו נדבך נוסף המנגיש מזון בריא ומזין לאוכלוסיות מגוונות ופועל מזעור אי הביטחון התזונתי במדינה". In September Leket Israel was named one of 50 Citi Foundation's Global Innovation Challenge Recipients, and the only one in Israel. This partnership between Citi and Leket, along with the generous $500,000 donation, allowed Leket to launch Leket Express, a mobile produce distribution center, providing assistance in 4 cities throughout the country. At today's launch ceremony, Leket's CEO, Gidi Kroch was joined by Neil Corney, CEO of Citibank Israel and Ernesto Torres, International Operations Manager of Citibank. Gidi Kroch shared: "I sincerely thank Citibank for their longtime friendship with Leket Israel. Their contribution to Leket Israel will enable Leket Israel to broaden its impact and provide much needed fresh, nutritious agricultural produce to thousands of vulnerable families throughout Israel.” . . .
